Students, your film can put you on the Red Carpet!

It’s time once again for the TXU Energy Light Up the Red Carpet Student Film Contest for high school and college students.

The Dallas Film Society and TXU Energy invite students to create a 3- to 5-minute film about the future of energy and energy conservation.

The top three vote-getters in both the high school and college categories win prizes, including:

  • Cash;
  • Video editing software;
  • The opportunity to have their film shown at the 2012 Dallas International Film Festival;
  • Tickets to the Festival’s awards show;
  • And a spot on the Red Carpet!

Submissions are open from October 31, 2011 to February 12, 2012. Online voting begins February 20, 2012 at txu.com/studentfilmcontest.

For more information, visit the contest website, txu.com/studentfilmcontest. There, you will also find ideas for your film and samples from last year’s winners.

Get those cameras rolling and show us where you think the future of energy lies. We’ll see you on the Red Carpet!
